Placements24 is seeking a highly talented Senior Sound Designer & Audio Engineer for a fully remote role. You will craft sonic landscapes, design sound effects, ambient layers, and music for interactive projects, working closely with game designers and developers to integrate audio assets in Unity or Unreal.

The ideal candidate has a strong portfolio, 6+ years of experience, expertise in DAWs, and proficiency with Wwise/FMOD.

Qualifications

• 6+ years experience in sound design or audio engineering for interactive media or games.
• Portfolio demonstrating immersive sound design across platforms and media.
• Proficiency with major DAWs and audio middleware (Wwise, FMOD).
• Ability to translate briefs into sonic concepts and deliver via game engines.

Responsibilities

• Design, create, and implement sound effects, ambient soundscapes, and music for interactive projects.
• Record, edit, and mix audio to achieve high fidelity across platforms.
• Collaborate with designers, developers, and directors to define audio requirements.
• Integrate audio assets into Unity or Unreal projects and maintain asset organization.
• Mix and master audio to meet technical specs and creative goals.
• Troubleshoot audio issues during development and post-production.
• Stay current with audio tech trends in the Arts & Entertainment space.
• Contribute creative ideas to enhance overall auditory experience.
