Placements24 seeks a Senior Sound Designer & Composer to join our Midrand studio. You will design high-quality in-game sounds, compose original scores, and ensure audio integrates seamlessly with Unreal Engine or Unity.

Bring 5+ years of game audio experience, a strong portfolio, proficiency in Pro Tools, Logic Pro X, Cubase, Ableton Live, and experience with Wwise or FMOD. A related bachelor's degree is preferred.

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in sound design and music composition for video games.
• Strong portfolio showcasing exceptional game audio and musical composition work, including AAA titles.
• Proficiency in major DAWs and middleware for game audio integration.

Responsabilidades

• Conceptualize, design, and implement high-quality sound effects for environments, characters, weapons, and UI interactions.
• Compose original musical scores that evoke moods, enhance storytelling, and align with the game's artistic direction.
• Record, edit, and mix audio to broadcast standards with spatial realism in the game engine.
• Collaborate with game designers, artists, and narrative teams to integrate audio into the player experience.
• Manage and maintain audio assets within version control systems for efficient workflow.
• Troubleshoot and optimize audio performance to meet technical requirements and platform constraints.
• Mentor junior sound designers and composers to foster growth in the Midrand studio.
• Stay updated on trends and technologies in game audio design and music composition.
