Placements24 invites a Senior Sound Designer to join its globally recognized interactive entertainment team. This fully remote, full-time role lets you shape the sonic identity of award-winning titles from anywhere in South Africa, including Stellenbosch, Western Cape.

You will work in a collaborative, creative environment that values audio excellence. You will design, implement, and mix sound effects, ambient textures, and music, integrate audio with Unreal Engine/Unity using Wwise or FMOD, and

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional sound design experience in video games.
• Proficient with Pro Tools, Logic Pro or Reaper.
• Skilled in Wwise or FMOD integration.
• Strong portfolio of game audio work.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and mix high-quality game sound effects and music.
• Collaborate with designers, engineers, and artists to integrate audio.
• Record, edit, and process audio assets to spec.
• Develop and optimize audio systems within the game engine.
• Provide direction and mentorship to junior designers.
• QA audio, debug issues, and ensure reliability.
• Stay updated on trends in sound design and interactive audio.
• Manage audio assets and production pipelines.
