Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Lead Sound Designer to spearhead audio creation for interactive media in a fully remote studio. You will conceptualize, implement, and refine sound elements from ambience to UI sounds, ensuring an immersive experience across platforms.

The role requires extensive interactive audio experience, proficiency with main DAWs and middleware, and strong leadership and communication skills within a dispersed team.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in sound design for interactive media (games, VR/AR, installations).
• Proficiency with DAWs and audio middleware (Wwise, FMOD).
• Strong understanding of audio signal flow and mixing for interactive experiences.
• Experience with field recording, Foley, and synthesis for unique effects.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and remote team management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation, and mixing of sound effects, ambient audio, and music for interactive projects.
• Develop and maintain audio vision and technical requirements across platforms.
• Collaborate with designers, programmers, and stakeholders to integrate audio into gameplay.
• Record, edit, and process audio assets using diverse sound design techniques.
• Mentor junior designers and foster a productive remote team environment.
