Placements24 is seeking a Senior Real Estate Developer to lead end-to-end real estate projects from concept through handover. You will drive feasibility, design, financing, and construction while coordinating remote teams across Benoni and beyond.

The ideal candidate brings 10+ years in large-scale developments, deep zoning and planning knowledge in South Africa, and strong leadership with a track record of delivering on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in real estate development.
• Strong portfolio of completed residential, commercial, or mixed-use projects.
• Deep knowledge of zoning regulations, building codes, and land use planning in South Africa.
• Excellent financial modeling, negotiation, and project management skills.
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate development opportunities, including land acquisition and feasibility analysis in Benoni.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, budgets, and timelines for new developments.
• Secure permits, approvals, and financing for development projects.
• Oversee design and planning with architects, engineers, and urban planners.
• Manage construction activities to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery with high quality.
• Negotiate and manage contracts with contractors, suppliers, and consultants.
• Conduct market research to understand demand and development potential in Gauteng.
• Manage relationships with investors, financial institutions, and local authorities.
• Mitigate project risks and implement effective solutions.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations and environmental standards.
