Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Lead Real Estate Developer to spearhead end-to-end development initiatives from a fully remote setting. You will manage sites, feasibility, design, construction, and eventual sales or leasing, with a focus on Centurion and broader Gauteng markets.

The role requires strategic thinking, strong leadership, and a proven track record delivering complex projects, while leading cross-functional teams across time zones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field.
• 10+ years in real estate development with leadership experience.
• Proven track record managing large-scale developments.
• Strong financial acumen including budgeting and investment analysis.
• Excellent negotiation and leadership skills.
• Knowledge of building codes and regulatory frameworks.
• Exceptional remote leadership and stakeholder management.
• Experience in Centurion market is advantageous.
• Proficiency in project management software and office apps.

Responsibilities

• Identify and secure development opportunities via site analysis.
• Oversee lifecycle: on time, within budget, high quality.
• Mentor a team of architects, engineers, PMs and sales.
• Build relationships with investors, authorities, contractors, and consultants.
• Navigate zoning, permits and regulatory processes.
• Develop budgets, financial forecasts and secure financing.
• Oversee marketing and sales strategies for developments.
• Stay informed on market trends and tech in real estate.
• Represent the company professionally in Gauteng region.
