Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a visionary Real Estate Developer to lead new projects and manage current developments in Vereeniging, Gauteng. This senior role calls for a strategic thinker with end-to-end experience in the development lifecycle, including acquisition, feasibility, design, construction, marketing, and sales.

The ideal candidate will have a strong network in construction and finance and a proven track record of delivering profitable real estate ventures.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Property Development, Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
A Master's degree is advantageous.
Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in real estate development, with a proven portfolio of completed projects.
Strong understanding of financing, zoning, design, and construction.
Excellent negotiation, leadership, project management, and financial acumen.
Proficiency in project management software and financial modeling tools.
In-depth knowledge of the Vereeniging, Gauteng property market and development landscape.
Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel for site visits and meetings.

Responsibilities

Identify and evaluate land acquisition opportunities for residential, commercial, or mixed-use developments in and around Vereeniging.
Conduct feasibility studies, market analysis, and financial projections for development projects.
Secure permits, zoning approvals, and financing for development projects.
Manage design and planning phases with architects, engineers, and urban planners.
Oversee the construction process to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery and high quality.
Develop and execute marketing and sales strategies for new developments.
Manage relationships with contractors, suppliers, legal counsel, and financial institutions.
Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and environmental standards.
Contribute to strategic planning and growth initiatives in Gauteng.
