The ideal candidate has 8+ years in process safety within Oil & Gas or petrochemicals, with excellent analytical and communication skills to influence stakeholders remotely.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 8+ years in process safety engineering within Oil & Gas or petrochemical industries.
• Knowledge of PSM elements (OSHA/EPA or international standards).
• Experience leading hazard analyses (HAZOP, LOPA, FMEA).
• Strong risk assessment methodologies and mitigation knowledge.
• SIS and QRA experience desirable.
• Excellent analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and ability to influence remotely.
• Proven ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Proficiency with safety software and digital collaboration tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain Process Safety Management (PSM) systems.
• Lead Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs) including HAZOP/LOPA/FMEA.
• Oversee incident investigations and root cause analysis with corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver process safety training programs.
• Review designs to ensure process safety compliance.
• Monitor KPIs for process safety and report to management.
• Stay updated with evolving process safety regs and best practices.
• Provide guidance to site safety professionals and engineers.
• Audit facility compliance with PSM elements and suggest improvements.
• Facilitate safety reviews and workshops using virtual tools.
