Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Remote Senior Process Safety Engineer to lead PHAs (HAZOP/LOPA/FMEA) and develop global Process Safety Management programs from a home office. You will analyze incidents, train teams remotely, and guide design safety decisions across diverse chemical processes.

The role requires 8+ years in process safety with at least 3 years in a senior capacity, and strong regulatory knowledge. CSP or CCPSC are highly advantageous for this global, fully remote position.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in process safety engineering, with 3+ years in senior/lead role.
• Proven leadership in PHAs (HAZOP/LOPA/FMEA) and in building PSM programs.
• Proficiency with process safety software and digital tools for remote collaboration and data analysis.
• Strong knowledge of international safety standards and regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for remote interaction.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote environment.
• Certifications like CSP or CCPSC are highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Conduct PHAs remotely (HAZOP, LOPA, FMEA) for multiple sites.
• Develop, implement, and manage PSM programs per global standards.
• Oversee lifecycle of safety-critical equipment and instrumentation.
• Analyze incident data to identify trends and drive corrective actions.
• Create remote safety training modules for site personnel and engineers.
• Lead virtual safety reviews and workshops with stakeholders worldwide.
• Stay updated on evolving process safety technologies and practices.
• Advise project teams on safety during design/modifications of chemical processes.
• Champion proactive safety culture across geographical locations.
