Job summary
Placements24 is seeking a Senior Power Electronics Engineer to join our fully remote engineering team. You will lead design, simulation, and development of high-efficiency converters for renewable energy and electric vehicles, working across distributed teams.
The ideal candidate has a PhD or Master’s in Electrical Engineering with power electronics specialization and 8+ years of industry experience, plus expertise in SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink, and PLECS.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. or Master’s in Electrical Engineering with specialization in Power Electronics.
- 8+ years of experience in power electronics design and development.
- Proficiency with SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink, and PLECS.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, simulation, and development of high-efficiency power converters (AC-DC, DC-DC, DC-AC).
- Perform detailed thermal management and component stress analysis for power electronic circuits.
- Develop and implement control algorithms for advanced power electronic systems.
- Oversee the selection of components, including MOSFETs, IGBTs, capacitors, and inductors.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to IP development through patents/publications.
