Placements24 seeks a Principal Power Electronics Engineer for a fully remote role. Lead design efforts for high-power converters in renewable energy, mentor engineers, and drive the technology roadmap across global teams.

You will apply deep expertise in SiC/GaN devices, converter topologies, and advanced control strategies, using MATLAB/Simulink and other tools to deliver robust, high-efficiency solutions.

Formación

• Ph.D. or Master’s in Electrical Engineering with power electronics focus.
• 10+ years of high-power power electronics design experience.
• Deep knowledge of SiC/GaN devices, converter topologies, and control strategies.

Responsabilidades

• Leading design, simulation, and development of advanced power electronic converters for renewable energy.
• Developing and optimizing control algorithms for efficiency and grid compatibility.
• Analyzing power semiconductors, magnetics, and passive components.
• Conducting thermal analysis and cooling design for systems.
• Managing the full product development cycle from concept to production.
• Providing technical leadership and mentorship to engineers.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams for seamless integration.
• Staying current with advancements and documenting designs.
