Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Power Electronics Engineer to lead the design, development, and optimization of high-efficiency converters for next-generation EV powertrains and charging systems. This fully remote role requires deep expertise in SiC/GaN, control algorithms, EMC, and fast prototyping with SPICE, PLECS, and MATLAB/Simulink.

You will mentor junior engineers, collaborate with global teams, and deliver robust, scalable power electronic solutions across development cycles from

Qualifications

Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with specialization in Power Electronics.
PhD is highly advantageous.
8+ years of industry experience in power electronic systems.
Experience with SiC/GaN devices is a plus.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and validate high-performance power electronic converters.
Develop control strategies for efficiency and dynamic response.
Perform simulations with SPICE, PLECS, MATLAB/Simulink.
Create test plans and validate prototypes in lab and vehicle settings.
Ensure EMC/EMI, safety, and regulatory compliance.
