Placements24 is actively seeking a seasoned Senior Geologist specializing in offshore exploration to join its remote-first team. You will lead the identification, evaluation, and development of deep-water hydrocarbon prospects, integrating seismic, well, and production data to build robust geological models for strategic decision-making.

This global role requires collaboration with international teams to drive asset growth.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Geology, Geophysics, or related earth science.
• 10+ years of offshore exploration geology experience.
• Proficient in seismic interpretation software (Petrel, Kingdom).
• Proven ability to develop and validate complex subsurface models remotely.
• Strong basin analysis and petroleum systems knowledge.
• Excellent communication for global remote teams.

Responsibilities

• Interpret complex 3D seismic data to identify and map potential hydrocarbon reservoirs.
• Develop and validate detailed geological models, including structural and stratigraphic interpretations.
• Integrate well log, core, and production data to calibrate models and assess reservoir potential.
• Conduct risk and uncertainty assessments for exploration prospects.
• Prepare detailed technical reports, maps, and presentations for exploration strategy meetings.
• Collaborate virtually with exploration teams, reservoir engineers, and geophysicists globally.
