Placements24 is seeking an experienced Petroleum Geologist to join our exploration division in a fully remote capacity. You will evaluate geological data to identify and assess hydrocarbon reservoirs, integrating multiple datasets and interpreting subsurface information.

The role emphasizes independent work from a remote setup, with collaboration across geoscience disciplines to guide exploration strategies and target definitions. A strong software skillset is essential.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Geology, Geophysics, or related Earth Science field.
• Minimum 6 years of Petroleum Geologist experience with exploration focus.
• Proficiency in Petrel, Kingdom and ArcGIS for data integration.
• Strong knowledge of depositional environments, structural geology, and basin analysis.

Responsibilities

• Interpret geological, seismic, and well log data to identify hydrocarbon plays and prospects.
• Conduct regional and prospect-level assessments to estimate resource potential.
• Integrate geochemistry, sedimentology, and biostratigraphy into models.
• Prepare detailed geological reports, maps, and presentations for reviews.
• Collaborate with reservoir engineers and geophysicists to define drilling targets.
