Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Remote Senior Mechanical Engineer specializing in Systems Design to lead the conceptualization, design, and integration of complex mechanical systems from a remote setting. You will interact with international teams and stakeholders while supporting Centurion-based operations.

The ideal candidate has a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, 10+ years in mechanical system design, and deep expertise in FEA, CFD, and PLM tools.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in mechanical system design and complex integrated systems.
• Expertise in FEA/CFD software and system-level modeling.
• Experience with PLM tools and processes.
• Excellent remote collaboration and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of intricate mechanical systems for performance and manufacturability.
• Perform advanced FEA, CFD, and system-level performance modeling.
• Create and maintain design documentation, schematics, BOMs and specs.
• Collaborate virtually with cross-functional teams and external partners.
• Oversee prototype builds and testing protocols with remote support.
• Drive innovation with new design approaches in a remote-first environment.
