Placements24 is seeking a Senior Mechanical Systems Engineer to lead the design, analysis, and integration of complex mechanical systems on a fully remote basis supporting operations near Klerksdorp. You will drive system-level design challenges and collaborate with a distributed team to deliver innovative solutions.

You'll leverage advanced modeling tools (MATLAB/Simulink, ANSYS, SolidWorks Simulation) and demonstrate strong leadership, ensuring performance, reliability, and seamless

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 8+ years of experience in mechanical system design, analysis, and integration.
• Proficiency with MATLAB/Simulink, ANSYS and SolidWorks Simulation.
• Strong understanding of control systems and mechatronics.
• Experience leading technical efforts and remote collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and integrate complex mechanical systems, ensuring subsystems function cohesively and meet performance requirements.
• Conduct detailed system-level analysis, including thermal management, vibration, and structural integrity using advanced simulation tools.
• Define system requirements, specifications, and test plans with cross-functional teams in a virtual environment.
• Troubleshoot complex mechanical system issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
• Create and maintain system documentation, including interface control documents and system architecture diagrams.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to other engineers on system design principles and best practices.
