Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Remote Mechanical Design Specialist to join their innovative product development team. This role suits a proactive, self‑motivated engineer who excels in a virtual environment and can own end‑to‑end mechanical design for new products.

You will collaborate with global teams, use CAD/FEA tools, and produce production-ready drawings and docs to ensure manufacturability.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 7+ years of mechanical design experience with a strong portfolio.
• Expert proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks/CATIA/NX) and FEA.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, global team.

Responsibilities

• Lead the conceptualization and detailed design of complex mechanical components and systems from ideation to production-ready outputs.
• Utilize advanced CAD software and simulation tools to develop robust and optimized designs.
• Perform stress, thermal, and vibration analyses to validate design performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with remote cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration.
• Develop comprehensive design documentation, drawings, specifications, and manufacturing instructions.
• Stay abreast of advancements in design technologies and manufacturing processes.
