Placements24 is seeking a Senior Management Accountant for a fully remote finance team supporting operations across South Africa. The role focuses on strategic financial insights, performance management, and enabling data-driven decisions in a remote environment.

The ideal candidate will have a solid background in management accounting, FP&A, and financial modeling, with advanced Excel and ERP experience. A home office with reliable internet is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
• CIMA/ACCA or equivalent highly regarded.
• 6+ years in management accounting/FP&A.
• Strong knowledge of accounting frameworks.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
• Experience with SAP/Oracle/Xero ERP systems.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setup.
• Home office with reliable internet.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts with accuracy and timeliness.
• Develop and manage budgets and forecasts with department heads.
• Conduct variance analysis with key drivers and recommendations.
• Support FP&A function for strategic initiatives.
• Develop and monitor KPIs to track performance.
• Improve financial reporting processes and implement best practices.
• Assist in financial models for new opportunities and strategic projects.
• Ensure effective internal controls are maintained.
• Collaborate with the finance team and stakeholders for comprehensive support.
• Mentor junior management accountants in a remote setting.
