Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly analytical Management Accountant for a fully remote role across South Africa. You will deliver critical insights, prepare budgets, forecasts, and variances, and work with departments to drive financial performance in a remote-first culture.

You should have a relevant degree, professional qualifications (CIMA/ACCA) desirable, 4 years of experience, and proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, ERP (SAP/Oracle), and BI tools.

Qualifications

• A relevant degree in accounting or finance is required.
• Professional qualification (CIMA/ACCA) is highly desirable.
• Minimum 4 years' experience in management accounting or financial analysis.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and quantitative skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and analyze management reports including variance, cost, and profitability analyses.
• Prepare budgets and forecasts with department heads to align with strategic goals.
• Monitor performance against budgets and forecasts, explaining deviations.
• Develop and implement financial models and systems.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiencies.
• Support FP&A initiatives and financial planning.
• Ensure integrity and accuracy of management accounting data.
• Collaborate with remote teams across locations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and reporting tools.
