Placements24 is seeking a Senior Equipment Maintenance Engineer to optimize uptime for heavy mining equipment from a remote location in South Africa. You will design and implement maintenance strategies, using diagnostics and data analytics to anticipate issues.

Leading a team of technicians, you will manage budgets, spare parts, and remote monitoring tools while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance across operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 8+ years of progressive maintenance engineering experience in mining/industrial sectors.
• Proven track record with predictive and preventive maintenance programs.
• Strong proficiency with CMMS and data analysis.
• Experience leading teams and managing budgets.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Excellent communication and remote collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee maintenance strategies for heavy mining equipment.
• Analyze performance data to identify root causes and corrective actions.
• Use remote monitoring to assess health and predict failures.
