Placements24 is seeking an experienced Senior IT Support Specialist to join a fully remote IT department supporting users across locations, including Bloemfontein. You will manage complex issues, maintain uptime, deploy IT solutions, and mentor junior staff in a distributed environment.

The role emphasizes strong Windows Server/AD skills, cloud experience with Microsoft 365 and Azure, and excellent problem-solving and communication for remote collaboration.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in IT support, helpdesk, or system administration.
• Strong proficiency with Windows Server, Active Directory, and network troubleshooting.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Microsoft 365, Azure) is highly desirable.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, essential for remote collaboration.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, MCSA) are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced technical support for hardware, software, operating systems, and network issues.
• Manage and resolve escalated IT support tickets efficiently and effectively.
• Perform system administration tasks, including user account management and software deployment.
• Develop and maintain IT documentation, standard operating procedures, and knowledge base articles.
• Proactively identify and address potential IT issues to prevent system downtime.
• Mentor and guide junior IT support staff, fostering a collaborative remote team dynamic.
