Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Senior Infrastructure Project Manager to lead large-scale infrastructure initiatives in a fully remote framework with links to Sandton, Gauteng. You will oversee planning, execution, and delivery across dispersed teams of engineers, contractors and consultants, ensuring best practices in cost, quality and schedule.

The role requires a Civil/Construction background, professional registration (Pr Eng, PMP) preferred, and a proven track record in roads,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Professional registration (Pr Eng, PMP) desirable.
• 10+ years in managing complex infrastructure projects with leadership experience.
• Experience with roads, bridges, water/wastewater or public facilities.
• Proficiency in PMI/PRINCE2 and software like MS Project or Primavera P6.
• Strong leadership, communication and remote team management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead full lifecycle of major infrastructure projects, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Develop project plans including scope, resources, risks, and stakeholder plans.
• Oversee remote project teams of engineers, contractors, and consultants.
• Manage client relationships and report progress, challenges, and outcomes.
• Implement project controls with KPIs and status reporting.
• Ensure health, safety, environment and quality regulations compliance.
• Oversee contracts, procurement, and financial administration.
• Identify risks and develop contingency plans.
• Foster collaboration and high-performance remote teams.
• Contribute to business development via proposals and client acquisition.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
