Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead large-scale civil infrastructure initiatives from inception to completion. This fully remote role offers flexibility to manage diverse SA projects, with emphasis on planning, budgets, risk, and stakeholder communication.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in project management for civil infra, strong leadership, and proficiency in MS Project or Primavera P6. ECSA registration is desirable.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in project management for civil infrastructure.
• 5+ years leading large-scale civil infrastructure projects.
• ECSA registration desirable (e.g., Pr Eng or Pr CPM).

Responsibilities

• Oversee all phases of civil infrastructure projects from planning to closeout.
• Develop project plans with scope, budgets and timelines.
• Lead resources including personnel, equipment, and materials.
• Monitor schedules and proactively address delays.
• Manage budgets and track expenditures to meet financial objectives.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and quality standards.
• Lead and motivate project teams; maintain high performance.
• Communicate with clients, consultants, contractors, and authorities.
• Prepare regular project status reports for senior management.
• Facilitate coordination among all project participants.
