Placements24 is seeking an experienced Remote Senior Project Manager to lead critical IT infrastructure projects across South Africa. You will manage planning, execution, and successful delivery of upgrades, migrations, and deployments in a fully remote setup.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of IT project management experience with 7+ years on large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Proven track record of leading fully remote teams efficiently.
• Deep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and security basics.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management for global teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end IT infrastructure projects in a remote environment.
• Create comprehensive project plans with scope, objectives, timelines, budgets, and resources.
• Mentor and manage distributed project teams across regions and time zones.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies.
• Provide regular project status updates to executives and stakeholders remotely.
• Manage project budgets and ensure alignment with financial targets.
• Ensure compliance with ITIL and related infrastructure management frameworks.
• Oversee vendor management, negotiations, and performance monitoring.
• Drive continuous improvements in project delivery processes and methodologies.
• Document knowledge transfer and deliverables for knowledge sharing.
