Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Civil Engineer to lead remote geotechnical investigations, analysis, and design for a global project portfolio. You will mentor junior engineers and provide expert guidance from a remote location.

The ideal candidate has a PE, 7–10 years of geotechnical experience, and strong proficiency with Plaxis and GeoStudio. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to proposals while delivering sustainable engineering solutions worldwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering with a Geotechnical specialization.
• Professional Engineer (PE) or equivalent registration.
• 7-10 years of progressive geotechnical experience.
• Proven track record managing complex geotechnical projects.
• Expertise in soil behavior, foundation design (shallow/deep), slope stability, earth retention.
• Proficiency in geotechnical software packages.
• Strong written and verbal communication for remote collaboration.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects remotely.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage geotechnical investigations, including site characterization and data analysis.
• Perform soil mechanics and foundation design calculations using Plaxis, GeoStudio.
• Develop detailed geotechnical reports, specifications, and drawings.
• Provide expert technical guidance and peer review for other engineers.
• Collaborate with project managers and clients to define project scopes and deliverables.
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
• Mentor junior geotechnical engineers in a remote setting.
• Contribute to proposal development and business development efforts.
• Stay abreast of geotechnical advancements and technologies.
