Job summary

Placements24 is sourcing a Senior Geotechnical Project Manager for a fully remote role. You will lead geotechnical investigations and foundation design work for civil and structural projects, coordinating with clients and design teams from your home office.

The ideal candidate has a Master's in Geotechnical Engineering, a PE/Pr. Eng designation, and 10+ years of geotechnical experience with at least 5 in project management. Strong software proficiency and remote leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering.
• PE or Pr. Eng designation.
• 10+ years in geotechnical engineering, with at least 5 years in project management.
• Proven track record managing complex geotechnical projects.
• Expertise with geotechnical software such as Plaxis, GeoStudio, and FLAC.

Responsibilities

• Lead full lifecycle of geotechnical projects from proposal development to close-out.
• Plan and oversee site investigations, including drilling programs, in-situ testing, and lab testing.
• Perform/ review complex geotechnical analyses for foundations, slopes, walls, and earthworks.
• Develop geotechnical reports with actionable recommendations for clients and design teams.
• Manage budgets, schedules, and resources for profitable, timely delivery.
• Coordinate with clients, regulators, and internal teams in a remote environment.
• Mentor junior geotechnical engineers and project staff.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and ensure QA/QC and adherence to standards.
