Our client, a rapidly growing logistics and transportation provider, is seeking a highly experienced and results-oriented Senior Fleet Logistics Manager to join their dynamic team. You will be instrumental in driving efficiency, ensuring compliance, and managing a diverse fleet across various regions. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive fleet management strategies to optimize delivery routes, reduce operational costs, and improve delivery times.
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the fleet, including vehicle maintenance schedules, fuel management, and driver performance monitoring.
• Ensure strict adherence to all relevant transportation laws, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
• Manage and maintain relationships with third-party service providers, including maintenance workshops and insurance companies.
• Utilize fleet management software and data analytics to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify areas for improvement.
• Coordinate with supply chain and operations teams to ensure seamless integration of fleet activities with broader business objectives.
• Develop and deliver regular performance reports to senior management, highlighting key achievements and challenges.
• Implement and manage robust safety protocols and training programs for all fleet personnel.
• Explore and integrate new technologies to enhance fleet efficiency and sustainability.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in fleet management, logistics, or a related field.
• Proven track record of successfully managing large and diverse fleets.
• Strong understanding of South African transportation regulations and compliance requirements.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data.
• Proficiency in fleet management software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote setting.
• A relevant tertiary qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline is highly preferred.
• Experience with route optimization software is a significant advantage.
• Demonstrated ability to drive cost savings and efficiency improvements within a fleet operation.
