Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Senior DevOps Engineer for a remote-first telecoms technology team. Design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS, automate CI/CD pipelines, and ensure high availability and security across distributed services.

Role requires IaC (Terraform/CloudFormation), containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), monitoring (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK), and strong scripting (Python/Bash/Go) in a collaborative, remote setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years in DevOps with cloud infrastructure focus.
• Extensive AWS experience (EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, Lambda, EKS).
• Scripting in Python, Bash, or Go.
• Hands-on with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
• Experience with IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
• Solid containerization knowledge (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with monitoring/logging (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
• Networking and security best practices in cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS.
• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.
• Implement and manage IaC using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Automate administration, monitoring, and incident response.
• Optimize resource utilization and control costs.
• Enforce security best practices across cloud environments.
• Collaborate with development teams for smooth deployments.
• Troubleshoot complex infra and app issues.
• Monitor performance and address bottlenecks.
• Stay current with cloud technologies and DevOps practices.
• Participate in on-call rotations.
