Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our fully remote engineering team. You will design and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure, implement CI/CD pipelines, and drive automation strategies to ensure reliability, security, and performance.

You will work with AWS/Azure/GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, and IaC tools, collaborating with product teams across global time zones. This role offers flexibility and opportunities for professional growth in a fast-growing SaaS company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 5 years in DevOps, SRE, or system administration roles.
• Proven expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Strong experience with Docker and Kubernetes; scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
• Solid understanding of networking, security best practices, and monitoring tools.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated builds, tests, and deployments.
• Develop and manage IaC using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Automate operational tasks, deployments, and monitoring.
• Ensure security, performance, and availability of production environments.
• Implement containerization with Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot, and implement preventative measures.
• Collaborate with development and QA teams for smooth releases.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure documentation.
• Participate in on-call rotations for incident response.
