Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join a technology company focused on cloud solutions. This fully remote role involves designing, implementing, and managing CI/CD pipelines, automating infrastructure deployment, and ensuring reliability and scalability of cloud-based applications.

You will work with AWS/Azure/GCP, IaC tools, Docker, and Kubernetes, collaborating with development and operations teams to optimize workflows, monitor systems, and stay ahead with the latest DevOps

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in DevOps, system administration, or software engineering with a DevOps focus.
• Proven experience in building and managing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
• Strong proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
• Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) technologies.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Solid understanding of networking, security, and system monitoring principles.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills and strong remote collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment.
• Develop and manage cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
• Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems for applications and infrastructure.
• Automate operational tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
• Collaborate with software development teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications.
• Manage containerization platforms like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
• Ensure the security, performance, and availability of cloud environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure and deployment issues.
• Stay current with emerging DevOps tools, technologies, and best practices.
