Placements24 is seeking an experienced Project Manager for fully remote civil infrastructure projects across South Africa. You will plan, lead and deliver complex initiatives, coordinating remote teams of engineers, designers, and contractors while managing budgets and schedules.

The role demands 10+ years of civil project experience, strong communication in a virtual setting, and proficiency with MS Project or Primavera P6. A Master’s degree or PMP is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in civil infrastructure project management.
• Remote project management and virtual team leadership experience.
• Experience with MS Project, Primavera P6, or Asana.
• Strong financial acumen for large project budgets.
• Excellent communication and negotiation in a virtual environment.
• Able to work autonomously with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the full project lifecycle from initiation to closure.
• Develop detailed project plans with scope, timelines, resources, and budgets.
• Coordinate and manage remote project teams of engineers, designers and contractors.
• Communicate with clients, consultants and regulators via virtual channels.
• Identify, assess and mitigate project risks.
• Ensure on-time, on-budget delivery with required quality.
• Track progress and report status to senior management.
• Manage project documentation and ensure contractual/regulatory compliance.
• Facilitate virtual meetings and maintain clear team communication.
