Placements24 is partnering with a prestigious management consultancy to hire a Senior Business Development Manager in a fully remote role across South Africa. You will drive revenue growth by identifying new client engagements, nurturing relationships with senior stakeholders, and steering proposals from concept to contract.

You bring a decade of B2B sales experience in professional services, exceptional negotiation skills, and a proven ability to operate remotely with a national network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
• MBA or equivalent is highly preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in business development, sales, or account management within the professional services or management consulting sector.
• Demonstrated success in exceeding sales targets and building a robust pipeline of opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities within target industries and accounts.
• Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with senior executives and decision-makers.
• Lead the entire sales cycle, from prospecting and qualification to proposal development and contract negotiation.
• Understand client needs and articulate how our client's consulting services can address their strategic challenges.
• Collaborate with consulting practice leads to develop tailored solutions and proposals.
• Achieve and exceed ambitious revenue targets and key performance indicators.
• Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
• Provide market intelligence and feedback to shape the firm's service offerings and go-to-market strategies.
• Mentor junior business development professionals and contribute to team success.
