Placements24 is seeking a Senior Cloud Architect with deep AWS expertise for a fully remote architecture team. You will define cloud strategy, set architectural standards, and guide engineering through best practices adoption to build scalable, secure cloud solutions aligned with business goals.

The role requires leading cloud migrations, evaluating new services, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize cost, performance, and security in a remote-first environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's preferred.
• 10+ years of IT infrastructure and architecture experience, with at least 5 years on AWS.
• Proven experience designing and implementing large-scale cloud solutions on AWS.
• Deep understanding of AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, and CloudFormation.
• Expertise in infrastructure as code, containerization, and microservices architectures.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and document highly available, fault-tolerant, and scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS.
• Develop and enforce cloud architectural standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to meet requirements.
• Provide technical leadership on cloud migration strategies.
• Evaluate and recommend new cloud services to optimize performance, cost, and security.
• Lead troubleshooting for complex cloud infrastructure issues and provide recommendations.
