Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Cloud Solutions Architect to lead design and implementation of scalable cloud infrastructures. This fully remote role within South Africa focuses on translating business requirements into comprehensive blueprints and guiding delivery teams.

The ideal candidate brings 7+ years in IT with deep cloud architecture expertise across AWS/Azure/GCP, microservices, containers, and serverless. Strong stakeholder communication is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of IT experience with a focus on cloud architecture and design.
• Proven expertise on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong knowledge of microservices, containers, serverless, and modern data architectures.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable, highly available, fault-tolerant cloud solutions on AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Develop technical strategies and roadmaps for cloud adoption and migrations.
• Collaborate with engineering/product teams to translate requirements into architecture.
• Define cloud security, cost management, performance, and disaster recovery best practices.
• Lead evaluation of cloud services and technologies and make adoption recommendations.
