Job summary

Placements24 seeks an experienced Lead Cloud Architect to spearhead cloud strategy in a fully remote capacity. You will guide engineers, define technical direction, and drive adoption of scalable, secure cloud infrastructure across the organization.

Ideal candidate has 10+ years in IT infrastructure and 5+ years in cloud architecture with deep AWS expertise, IaC tooling, and strong leadership skills. Remote role with a strategic impact on architectural trajectory.

Qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 10+ years IT infra and systems architecture, with at least 5 years in cloud architecture.
• Extensive hands-on AWS experience (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM).
• Proven IaC experience with Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
• Strong security, networking, and cloud compliance knowledge.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end cloud solutions on AWS with high availability and scalability.
• Develop cloud governance policies and security standards.
• Lead migration of on-premises infra to AWS cloud.
• Collaborate with development teams on cloud-native design and deployment.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to cloud engineers.
• Evaluate and recommend new cloud technologies to drive value.
