Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Compliance Officer with AML/KYC expertise for a fully remote role based in South Africa. You will develop and manage AML/KYC policies, conduct due diligence, monitor alerts, and train staff.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in AML/KYC within financial services or FinTech, a related degree, and CAMS or ICA certification. You will liaise with regulators and ensure adherence to FICA and international standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Criminology, or related field.
• 6+ years AML/KYC experience in financial services or FinTech.
• CAMS or ICA certification preferred.
• Knowledge of FICA and international AML/KYC standards.
• Ability to conduct customer due diligence and risk assessments.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain AML and KYC policies and controls.
• Perform customer due diligence, risk assessments, and transaction monitoring.
• Investigate alerts, prepare SARs, and liaise with authorities.
• Oversee onboarding processes and verifications.
• Stay updated on AML/KYC regulations and best practices.
• Conduct internal audits and compliance testing.
• Provide AML/KYC training to staff.
• Coordinate with regulators, law enforcement, and auditors.
