Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Lead Security Analyst for a fully remote role. You will head the security operations center, shape threat detection and incident response strategies, and mentor a team of analysts across the organization.

The role requires 6+ years in information security, leadership experience, and mastery of frameworks such as NIST CSF. You will optimize SIEM/EDR/IDS/IPS tools, conduct forensics, and drive continuous security improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or related field.
• ≥6 years information security experience, with leadership exposure.
• Strong knowledge of security frameworks (e.g., NIST CSF) and threat intel.
• Proficiency with SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, and SOAR platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead SOC team and oversee daily security operations.
• Develop and refine threat detection, incident response, and vulnerability management.
• Coordinate investigations and root-cause analysis.
• Manage security tools and policies; stay updated on threats.
• Mentor junior analysts and promote continuous learning.
