Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Regional Development Manager to drive expansion in renewable energy opportunities across the region. This remote role requires a self-starter capable of managing workload, engaging with stakeholders, and leading project development in its initial phases.

You will analyze markets, build relationships with authorities and communities, and collaborate with engineering, finance, and legal teams to present compelling business cases for new projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in business development or project development.
• Proven track record of identifying and developing new opportunities.
• Strong feasibility analysis, market research, and financial modeling skills.
• Excellent negotiation and interpersonal communication.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote role.
• Experience with CRM software and digital collaboration tools.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Willingness to travel periodically within the region.

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate potential opportunities for new renewable energy projects within the assigned region.
• Conduct thorough market research and feasibility studies to assess project viability.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including landowners, local government officials, community groups, and potential partners.
• Develop and present compelling business cases for new projects to senior management.
• Manage the initial stages of project development, including site assessment, permitting processes, and regulatory approvals.
• Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, finance, legal) to ensure projects align with company standards and objectives.
• Monitor industry trends and policy changes affecting renewable energy development.
• Negotiate and secure preliminary agreements with landowners and other relevant parties.
• Represent the company in relevant forums and community engagement activities.
