Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a diligent Receiving Clerk to join the operations team remotely, coordinating with on-site warehouse staff and suppliers from Benoni. You will document, inspect, and verify shipments against purchase orders, ensuring accurate entry into the inventory system.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Receiving Clerk, Inventory Clerk, or in a similar administrative role.
• Strong data entry skills and a high level of accuracy.
• Proficiency with inventory management software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to liaise with various parties remotely.

Responsibilities

• Accurately receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and delivery documents.
• Document all received goods meticulously, noting any discrepancies, damages, or shortages.
• Enter receiving data into the inventory management system promptly and accurately.
• Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal teams regarding delivery status and issues.
• Coordinate with warehouse personnel for the efficient transfer of received goods to storage.
• Assist in resolving discrepancies related to incoming shipments and vendor invoices.
