Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a reliable Receiving Clerk in Soweto to manage incoming shipments and support accurate inventory control. You will verify contents against packing slips and purchase orders, log items into the system, and help keep the receiving area organized.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, physically able to lift and stand for long periods, and comfortable using inventory software. On-the-job training and consistent hours are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in receiving, warehousing, or inventory control.
• Physically able to lift and stand for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording information.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory software is a plus.
• Good organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Receive all incoming shipments, verifying contents against packing slips and purchase orders.
• Inspect goods for any damage or discrepancies, documenting and reporting issues as necessary.
• Accurately enter received items into the inventory management system.
• Organize and store received goods in designated warehouse locations.
• Assist with unloading trucks and operating receiving equipment safely.
• Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
