Placements24 is seeking a detail-oriented Remote Quantity Surveyor to join a leading construction cost consultancy. You will prepare cost estimates, analyze tenders, administer contracts, and monitor project finances for commercial projects, mostly remotely, with local focus on Nelspruit/Mpumalanga context.

You should hold a bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics, be familiar with NRM/SMM, JBCC/FIDIC, and Excel; 5+ years' experience and professional registration are

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics.
• 5+ years of experience in quantity surveying on commercial projects.
• Professional registration with SACPVP or SAAMA is desirable.
• Proficiency in cost estimating software and measurement standards (NRM, SMM).
• Strong contract law knowledge (JBCC, FIDIC) and Excel proficiency.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare accurate cost estimates and BoQ for commercial projects.
• Analyze tenders and prepare tender reports and recommendations.
• Administer contracts, manage variations, claims and payments.
• Monitor project costs and provide regular financial reports to clients and teams.
• Conduct site visits as required, predominantly remote, to verify valuations.
• Negotiate with contractors and suppliers on behalf of clients.
• Advise on procurement strategies and contractual matters.
• Maintain accurate cost records and project documentation.
• Collaborate with remote project managers, engineers, architects, and clients.
