Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Quality Assurance Manager in Upington, Northern Cape. You will lead the quality initiatives, develop and oversee robust QMS, and ensure products meet stringent standards.

With at least six years in QA/QC and three in management within manufacturing, you will drive continuous improvement and engage with cross-functional teams to sustain high-quality production and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Science/Quality Management or equivalent.
• 6+ years in quality assurance or quality control, with 3+ years in a managerial role within manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of QMS, ISO 9001 and related frameworks.
• Experience with root cause analysis and CAPA implementation.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

About the Role

Our client, a respected name in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Assurance Manager to lead their quality initiatives from Upington, Northern Cape . Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive quality management systems (QMS) aligned with industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001).


• Establish and monitor quality control procedures throughout the entire production lifecycle, from raw materials to finished goods.


• Lead and mentor the quality assurance team, fostering a culture of quality consciousness and continuous improvement.


• Conduct regular internal audits and inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards and identify areas for improvement.


• Investigate product non-conformities, root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).


• Collaborate with R&D, production, and engineering teams to ensure quality is integrated into product design and manufacturing processes.


• Manage external quality audits and certifications, acting as the primary point of contact for regulatory bodies.


• Analyze quality data and trends to report on performance and recommend strategic quality initiatives.


• Stay abreast of industry best practices and regulatory changes impacting quality assurance.


• Ensure all operations in Upington comply with the highest quality benchmarks.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Engineering, Science, or Quality Management.


• Minimum of 6 years of experience in quality assurance or quality control, with at least 3 years in a managerial capacity within a manufacturing setting.


• Strong knowledge of QMS, ISO 9001 standards, and other relevant quality frameworks.


• Proven experience in conducting root cause analysis and implementing CAPA.


• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.


• Strong leadership and team management abilities, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


• Proficiency in quality management software and data analysis tools.


• Experience with supplier quality management is a plus.


• Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement in quality performance.
