Placements24 is seeking a proactive, highly organized Remote Purchasing Coordinator to manage procurement from anywhere, supporting operations based in Port Elizabeth. You will handle purchase orders, supplier communications, and maintain records while working independently.

This fully remote role offers flexibility to work from home and contribute to the company’s supply chain, with an Eastern Cape focus. Experience in procurement and strong MS Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Purchasing Coordinator or Procurement Assistant.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with procurement software.
• Effective written and verbal communication abilities for remote work.
• Keen eye for detail and accuracy in all tasks.

Responsibilities

• Process purchase requisitions and generate purchase orders for goods and services.
• Communicate with suppliers regarding order status, delivery schedules and resolutions.
• Maintain organized database of suppliers, pricing, and purchase history.
• Assist in sourcing new suppliers and obtaining quotations.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and procedures.
• Support purchasing team and other departments on procurement matters.
