Placements24 is seeking a Remote Purchasing Coordinator to manage day-to-day purchasing activities for operations across South Africa. The role is fully remote and requires handling purchase orders, supplier liaison, and inventory support with a focus on cost-efficiency and accuracy.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in purchasing or procurement, strong organizational skills, and proficiency with MS Office and ERP/procurement software. This position offers flexibility and remote autonomy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certificate in Supply Chain or Business Administration is beneficial.
• 2+ years in purchasing/procurement/administrative support.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
• Experience with ERP or procurement software is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Process purchase requisitions and create purchase orders in the procurement system.
• Communicate with suppliers to confirm orders, track shipments, and resolve delivery issues.
• Maintain records of purchases, pricing, delivery details, and supplier performance.
• Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and coordinating reorders.
• Support the procurement team with administrative tasks and ad-hoc projects.
• Ensure compliance with purchasing policies and procedures.
