Placements24 in Port Elizabeth is seeking a junior procurement officer to join a remote-first procurement team. This entry-level role supports senior staff in daily purchasing operations, sourcing suppliers, processing purchase orders, and maintaining procurement records.

You will learn across supply chain management, contribute to cost-effective purchasing, and work in a supportive, remote-friendly environment in the Eastern Cape.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related discipline.
• Interest in pursuing a career in procurement and supply chain.
• Basic understanding of purchasing principles and supplier management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Excellent organizational skills and a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Assist in sourcing and evaluating potential suppliers for goods and services.
• Process purchase requisitions and generate purchase orders under supervision.
• Maintain procurement records and databases.
• Support senior procurement staff in contract administration and supplier communication.
• Track orders and ensure timely delivery of procured items.
