Placements24 is seeking a Remote Chemical Engineer with specialization in Process Simulation and Modeling to support global projects, focusing on optimizing processes for South African facilities near Mahikeng, North West. You will lead model development across steady-state and dynamic simulations using Aspen Plus, HYSYS and UniSim.

Qualifications

• Requires a Master’s or PhD in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in process simulation, modeling, and optimization in chemical industry.
• Expert proficiency in Aspen Plus, HYSYS, UniSim and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop, validate, and implement advanced process models (steady-state and dynamic).
• Utilize Aspen Plus, HYSYS, UniSim to analyze performance and optimize conditions.
• Conduct sensitivity analyses and scenario planning for design and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate remotely with project teams, R&D, and plant personnel to gather data and interpret results.
• Develop user-friendly models for operators and engineers and contribute to control strategies and safety studies.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations summarizing findings and recommendations.
• Stay updated on latest process modeling software and best practices.
• Mentor junior engineers in application of process simulation tools.
