Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Remote Chemical Process Simulation Specialist to join a global leader in chemical process technology. You will develop and validate advanced process models (Aspen Plus, HYSYS) to solve complex client challenges worldwide and to support design, optimization, and troubleshooting.

The role requires a Master’s or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering with at least seven years in process simulation, including dynamic modeling and techno-economic evaluations, plus

Qualifications

• Master’s or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering.
• 7+ years of experience in process simulation and modeling in the chemical industry.
• Expert proficiency with Aspen Plus and HYSYS; experience with PRO/II and UniSim is a plus.
• Proficiency in Python and VBA for automation and tool development.
• Strong foundation in thermodynamics, reaction engineering, and separation processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed process simulation models for various chemical processes using industry-standard software (Aspen Plus, HYSYS, gPROMS).
• Perform steady-state and dynamic simulations to analyze process performance and optimize operating conditions.
• Validate simulation models against plant data and experimental results.
• Assist clients in troubleshooting complex operational issues using simulation tools.
• Conduct techno-economic evaluations of process designs and modifications.
• Collaborate with remote client teams and internal engineers; prepare technical reports and presentations.
