Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Chemical Engineer specializing in process simulation and modeling for a fully remote role. You will develop and optimize complex chemical processes, validate models, and support design and troubleshooting from anywhere in the world.

Qualifications

• Masters or PhD in Chemical Engineering with emphasis on modeling and simulation.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in chemical process simulation and modeling.
• Expert proficiency with major process simulation software packages (Aspen Plus, HYSYS, etc.).
• Strong understanding of thermodynamics, reaction kinetics, and transport phenomena.
• Excellent programming skills (Python, VBA) for automation and tool development.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple simulation projects remotely.
• Superior written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate with international teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop, run, and analyze dynamic and steady-state simulations of chemical processes using industry-standard software.
• Create and validate process models for conceptual design, optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Perform sensitivity analyses and scenario planning to evaluate process performance.
• Collaborate with R&D, design, and operational engineers remotely to define scope and interpret results.
• Develop automation scripts and tools to enhance simulation workflows and efficiency.
• Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations detailing simulation findings and recommendations.
• Stay updated on latest advancements in process simulation software and methodologies.
• Provide remote technical support and training on simulation tools and best practices.
• Ensure simulation outputs reflect intended process behavior and support decision-making.
