Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Remote Chemical Engineer specializing in Process Simulation & Modeling. You will develop and validate complex process models to optimize operations, support plant design, and troubleshoot existing processes for clients worldwide.

The ideal candidate holds a Master's or PhD in Chemical Engineering with 7+ years in simulation, and is proficient in Aspen HYSYS or similar tools. Strong communication and independent, remote collaboration skills are essential.

Qualifications

7+ years of experience in process simulation and modeling in chemical/petrochemical industries.
Proficiency in at least one major process simulation package (Aspen Plus/HYSYS preferred).
Programming experience in Python or MATLAB is a plus.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and detail-oriented skills.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain dynamic and steady-state process simulations using industry-standard software.
Validate simulation models against plant data and experiments.
Perform sensitivity analyses, optimization studies and what-if scenarios.
Design new chemical processes and optimize existing ones through modeling and simulation.
Troubleshoot complex process issues and provide data-driven recommendations.
Collaborate with client engineering teams via virtual channels.
Prepare detailed technical reports documenting methodologies and results.
Stay current with advancements in process simulation software and techniques.
