Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Process Safety Engineer to bolster safety initiatives in oil and gas operations. This is a fully remote role, enabling you to work from your preferred location and collaborate with a virtual team to uphold the highest safety standards.

You will conduct PHAs (HAZOP, HIRA, LOPA), develop and implement PSM programs, investigate incidents, train personnel, and review designs to ensure process safety requirements are consistently met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of process safety experience in oil & gas or petrochemical industries.
• Strong knowledge of process safety principles, methodologies and tools.
• Experience with PHA software and incident investigation techniques.
• Excellent analytical, communication and remote-working skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct PHAs such as HAZOP, HIRA and LOPA studies.
• Develop and implement Process Safety Management programs and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry best practices.
• Investigate incidents and near misses and recommend corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver process safety training to personnel.
• Review designs to ensure process safety requirements are met.
